Hi Hubertus,
as far as I remember at the SPL there exists a program named "convert".
Using this program you're able to remove the TIF header easily. Try it
with the conversion to gray. Then you should be able to import into
slicer typing in all other informations manually then.

P.S.: Name them *.001 to *.0-what-ever. So the slicer is able to
recognize the series.
