Slicer version 1.3.0 is now compiled, packaged up, and ready for
download for both Windows and Solaris platforms. If you've downloaded
before, the same username and password will get you in to the ftp site.
If not, just go to http://www.slicer.org and follow the Get the Software
links. The license agreement page is now automated, so the download
instructions will be emailed to you right away.

Version 1.3 includes a measurement module, ability to build model
hierarchies, ability to reformat volumes along arbitrary axes, and many
other features and bug fixes. Development versions of the code have been
in use at MIT, Brigham and Women's Hospital and elsewhere for several
months so this release should be stable and useful. Please note however
that Slicer is not a validated medical product, and should only be used
for research and education purposes.

We hope you like it!
