Happy new year Slicers,

Since the first release of Slicer 4.0 beta, we have been keeping ourselves
busy and Slicer 4.0 beta has been reviewed, corrected and improved.
We would like to thank you for all your feedbacks, they have been very
useful for improving the quality of this release.

As promised, we are pleased to announce the official beta release of Slicer
4.0 for the All Hands Meeting 2011.
Please see below the links to the binaries(login:slicer, pwd:slicer):
 - Windows 32b<https://www.kitware.com/Customers/Slicer/Slicer-4.0.beta-2-r15783-win32.exe>
 - Linux 64b<https://www.kitware.com/Customers/Slicer/Slicer-4.0.beta-2-r15783-Linux.tar.gz>
 - Mac 64b<https://www.kitware.com/Customers/Slicer/Slicer-4.0.beta-2-r15783-Darwin.tar.gz>

As it has been suggested, in order to keep track of changes between previous
and coming releases, we created a
wikipage<http://wiki.slicer.org/slicerWiki/index.php/Slicer4:QtPort/Releases>dedicated
to the Slicer Qt port releases.

As always, we would like to hear from your feedbacks. Please keep in mind
this is a developer beta release and it is not yet ready for general/routine
use.

Happy slicing and see you at the AHM 2011,
Julien.
